Today I’m at Keeper of the Home talking about what kinds of questions to ask the farmers and vendors at your local farmer’s market.
Here’s an excerpt from the post:
I was a little overwhelmed the first time that I walked through. Which vendors are the best to buy from? Why is there a booth with cheap sunglasses at the farmer’s market? Why does that produce stand have bananas? How do I know where and how these tomatoes, or corn, or apples, are grown? And then my mom came to visit one weekend and I took her to the market with me and watched and listened and learned, all over again.
So head on over to Keeper of the Home today and read my tips and ideas for getting the most out of the offerings at your local farmer’s market.

Found you through this article on Keeper of the Home. I was also very inspired by Sleeth's book. Have you read Go Green, Save Green?
I have two little ones, as well. Nice to "meet" you!
Hi Carrie! Thanks for stopping by Live Renewed! I love to see more of you!
I have not read Go Green, Save Green, but it's on my list of books to read this year and I hope to read it sooner rather than later. Have you read it? Do you recommend it?
I just picked up my first share at a local farm through their CSA program. I am very excited. Of course, now I have to figure out how to eat parsnips and rutabagas, but I am looking forward to the adventure. We've already converted our rhubarb stalks into a delicious strawberry rhubarb pie. Love buying local!
