I’m honored to be guest posting today for Donielle at Naturally Knocked Up, who I had the pleasure of meeting at Gleek Retreat back in May, about using cloth instead of paper around the house. When we moved into this house in May of last year, I bought one package of paper towels for the initial cleaning, and for others who were helping us around the house to use, and I have not bought another package of paper towels since then!
From the post:
It was a proud moment for me. I overheard my daughter asking, “Hey daddy, can I have one of those um, um, paper… things?” She was asking my hubby for a paper towel when we were on vacation, and she didn’t know what it was called. That is because our family has not bought or used paper towels, or any other type of paper product (except for toilet paper), in our home for over a year. And I was grinning when I realized that my almost 3 year old daughter does not even know what a paper towel is.
It’s one thing that I do that I get a lot of questions about from family and friends, and it was an obstacle that many of you mentioned in the Healthy Snacks To-Go giveaway comments.
So, I wanted to share some tips, and steps to take, to move toward a paper free household. Please head on over to Naturally Knocked Up to read more!
