Although I’m pretty sure the holiday gift buying frenzy has already started, it really kicks off this weekend. I am not a huge fan of Black Friday, and definitely don’t go out and do any shopping, but that doesn’t mean I’m not planning and thinking about gifts I’d like to give (and receive – at least for my kiddos).
When thinking about and planning your gifts this year, there are lots of ways that you can shop green (look for more on that in a post tomorrow on Green…Your Way), but one thing to do is to seek out safe, non-toxic, sustainable, and green items that people on your list will really enjoy, and that are kind to the earth as well.
To help you get started, I’ve put together two green gift guides over on Babble. The first is a guide with ideas for the whole family, from babies to older kids, moms, dads and even grandparents – with gifts ranging from affordable, to quite pricey. The second is some of my favorite green toys and gifts for younger children. So head over to Babble to check those out if you are looking for some ideas and inspiration for green gifts to give this year!
And don’t worry, I’ll be covering some of my other favorite green gift ideas here on Live Renewed soon!
If you’d like to learn more about living green and living frugally I’d love to have you as a Live Renewed reader! You can subscribe, either by email or in a reader, to get the latest posts, ideas and inspiration for living frugally green. You can also connect with me on Twitter and Facebook!
