What a great idea for a series! I am looking forward to following along! This year I want to move away from commercial shampoos and conditioners. I have gone no ‘poo in the past, and love it, but the rest of my family doesn’t seem to want to join in…And the other thing we will be working on is more local foods! We have a great farmers’ market that is year round, but I never seem to be available when they are open. So this year I will be trying to make a point of getting to the market!
Hi Emily! One of my goals this year is to set up a clothesline to dry laundry. Looking forward to all your tips!
That is a great goal Krissa! One of my goals is to use my clothesline more this year – it got a little neglected after the baby was born! ๐
I’m so excited about this! My current green goal is to have a plastic free kitchen and especially plastic free baby kitchen stuff (sippy cups, snack traps etc) Just ordered my stainless sippys ๐
Such a great goal Kate! I’ve been thinking about moving toward a plastic free kitchen, but it kinda overwhelms me. We do use a lot of plastic free stuff, but we’re definitely not completely plastic free. Maybe that’s something I’ll have to try to tackle this year!
Looking forward to fresh ideas! This year, I am trying to go purely organic with produce and dairy.
That’s a great goal Lindsey, thanks for sharing!
My goals for this year are to eat less meat and reduce our food waste.
Great goal Kristina! We need to work on reducing our food waste too!
I can’t wait to see what comes in the new series. I’m impressed with the commitment for everyday. I’m pregnant with baby #3 so I’ll be interested in lots of healthy pregnancy/post partum ideas.
Congrats on Baby #3 Emily! Have you checked out the pregnancy and post-partum posts from last year? http://www.liverenewed.com/tag/pregnancy I’m planning to cover baby and child care in March, and I’ll probably do some more pregnancy and post-partum posts as a part of that. When are you due?
Thanks, I’ve read some of those posts already. It’s so amazing to realize how much I learn in between each pregnancy. I’m due in early June, first summer baby so that will be a change of pace!
Less packaging. But more bulk foods. It’s so annoying that our garbage bags are filled w/trash that cannot be recycled! We have come a long way but this is one that still really bugs me.
That’s a great goal, I definitely agree! Thanks for sharing!
My family puts forth a lot of effort to living green, especially when it comes to cleaning. But I can’t wait to revisit your site and gain more ideas to living a more eco-friendly lifestyle. This 365 day of tips idea is sensational!
Thanks Suzanne! I’d love to hear more of your thoughts along the way!
Just found this via a post on Pinterest about hanging laundry. Is it possible to find a link with links to all of the 365 posts, or has there been a more recent posting? I’d love to go green/zero waste and a lot of things we’ve already done (switching out plastic for glass, light bulbs, etc) Suggestions? ๐
Hi Jennifer! Here’s a link to most of the Green in 365 posts. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to finish the series all the way, but there are still plenty of posts there to read and work through! Hope that helps!
