I hope everyone is having a lovely week! We are having crazy weather here in Northern Indiana! Spring-like temperatures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and then I woke up to an inch or two of snow this morning and the high isn't supposed to be above 20°. Brrrrr! I will say that the warmer temperatures definitely make it easier to get through the cold winter weather, and make me excited for actual Spring, which is really not too far away! Has anyone started on their garden plans yet? I need … [Read more...]
At Simple Homemade: A Creative Life
Last week I was over at Simple Homemade sharing how I'm working on incorporating more creativity and creating into my life. It's been a fun process over the past few months for this uncrafty mama to start trying to be more intentional about finding time and space in my life to create and be a little crafty. From the post: If you’ve followed along with me on my blog, Live Renewed, for any length of time you’ll know that I consider myself an un-crafty mama. What this means to me is that I … [Read more...]

I have some old … [Read more...]

My Compost Pile!
I've been bugging my hubs to build me a compost bin or compost pile since we moved into our house two summers ago, and last month he finally made my wish come true! We decided to make a compost pile instead of bin because it was a simpler, easier project and we could use materials that we already had on hand. We (well really just Jer) made a two stall open pile, using reclaimed wood - some pallets and a piece of leftover fence from our neighbor - so this great compost cost us nothing to … [Read more...]
How To Make Homemade Dryer Sheets
Don't you just love the cute fluffy little bear that giggles and rolls around in his soft and cuddly towels and laundry? We've been sold the idea that our clothes have to be super soft and snuggly, and smell of lilacs and wildflowers and rain in the mountains. But what is really lurking in those fabric softeners that make our clothes that way? While it's important to avoid conventional fabric softeners, which is something I'll be discussing next week in my guest post at Green...Your Way, … [Read more...]
