Green in 365: Resources
This is Day 12 of the Green in 365 series! As we're getting started with this Green in 365 series, I thought I would share some of my favorite resources with your for reading, learning and researching about green and natural living. It's not always easy to find solid information and research about green living vs. the conventional, status quo way of doing things, for example it's hard to find solid research on using cloth diapers instead of disposable, or cloth cleaning wipes and … [Read more...]
31 Days to Green Clean: Green Clean Your Weekend
This is Day 13 of the 31 Days to Green Clean series. Happy Saturday! We love us some college football at our house. We live really close to Notre Dame, and while my husband has always been a fan, somehow I've been converted over the past 7 years of living here. Last night we went to the pep rally, and it's really fun to share our love of college sports with our kids. Go Irish! One of my favorite things to do on a cool fall day like today, is watch football with my … [Read more...]
Weekend Reading: 5/26/12
I know it's been a little quiet around here recently, and part of the reason for that is that I have to keep up with my post writing over on Babble. At this point in life, and with my pregnancy, I just don't have the energy that I wish I had to keep up with both. I really enjoy writing for Babble, and the way that it stretches me as a writer. I've never really considered myself a "mommy blogger". I mean, obviously I'm a blogger and I'm a mom, but I don't do a whole lot of writing about my … [Read more...]
Green Your Weekend — 2.11.12
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. We don't go crazy celebrating holidays around here, mostly because of my un-craftiness, but I am planning to make Valentines with my kiddos this weekend for my daughter to hand out in her class. I wanted something that didn't create too much waste, and didn't include candy. I saw these cute heart shaped melted crayon Valentine's last year and wanted to make them with my kids, but could never find a mold that would work. Finally, my friend Christianne … [Read more...]

Green Your Weekend – The Goals & Resolutions Edition
My daughter playing in the first real snowfall of the winter! Whew! It's the end of the first week of the new year! I always feel like the start of a new year is exciting and exhausting at the same time - so full of possibilities, but also trying to put some goals/resolutions/habits into place, and also just trying to get back into a normal routine after the holidays. There has been so much good stuff to read on blogs this week about setting and sicking with goals or resolutions that … [Read more...]
