Ready to remove toxic cleaners from your home? Find out how!

Eating Corn on the Cob

Today, I’m again over at Kitchen Stewardship with Part II of my guest post on Feeding Baby: Breastfeeding and Beyond.  I hope you’ll head over and read the rest of my post.

If you have any questions about feeding your baby this way, I would love to answer them as best as I can! Also, remember, as with everything, I’m not perfect at this all the time.  I try my absolute best to feed my children only healthy, nutritious, whole, real foods, but sometimes it’s much easier said than done.

If you’re struggling with getting your little one to eat healthy food, I can totally relate to that too! I’d love to hear tips or tricks to help kids eat better, I can always use more of those!

And, if you’re here from Kitchen Stewardship, welcome! I hope you’ll take a few minutes to poke around and see what we’re all about here at Live Renewed: living green and living frugally, being a good steward of all the resources God has provided us with (sounds a little like KS doesn’t it – I was floored when I found Katie’s blog and realized that we had such similar passions!) 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing this! Our 7 month old girl (our first)is exclusively breastfed and we get a lot of grief over the fact that she has not yet eaten solids. She is not very oral, does not put things in her mouth and does not seem interested in food if offered, so we are holding out. I had heard about infant led weaning and want to go that route, but hearing from someone who does it sucessfully gives me so much encouragement. It’s tough to go against the grain and be a non-conforming mom in terms of not feeding pureed food and cereals at 4 months like most others. In a world where breastfeedin has become old fashioned, I welcome all support. Thanks so much for the encouragement!!!

You’re welcome Kristy! So glad it was an encouragement to you! You know what is best for your daughter and she will let you know when she’s ready to start trying real food. I remember when my son was around 7 months old and I had a friend whose baby was 5 months old and they were feeding her full meals, while we were not really focused on feeding our son solids, at all. I felt like I was doing something wrong, but in the long run it has been so much better for him. Keep up the good work!
