Ready to remove toxic cleaners from your home? Find out how!

We’ve been talking a lot about personal care products, and making changes in the products we use, this month here at Live Renewed.  I think this is one of the most important areas to make changes, along with green and natural cleaning, because of the way we can be exposed to hundreds of toxic chemicals in conventional personal care products on a daily basis.

It’s also relatively easy to start making changes to our personal care routines.  It doesn’t require a lot of money, some things like using baking soda and apple cider vinegar to wash your hair, or using the oil cleansing method, are much cheaper than conventional products.  While other things, like castile soap*, are a little bit more pricey up front, but last for such a long time because they are so concentrated, and also save money because they are multifunctional.

Making these changes only requires a little time and energy, to figure out what to use instead of our standby products, as well as a change in mindset about the kinds of products we use. If you’re having some trouble figuring out what to use in place of your regular products, today I’m over at Simple Organic sharing 10 Changes to Make to Your Personal Care Products. Hopefully this will give you some ideas of what else is out there that you can easily switch over to, in order to green your personal care routine and avoid the top toxic chemicals that we talked about last week.

From the post:

Making changes to your personal care products my seem overwhelming when you think about all of the different products that you use throughout the day, especially when you have favorite products that you’ve been using for a long time.  What’s more overwhelming, at least to me, is thinking about the thousands of chemicals that we are exposed to each day from our personal care products, most of which have not even been tested for their safety.

You can revamp your personal care routine by choosing safer and more natural products, and by taking baby steps – changing one product at a time until it becomes a normal part of your routine. Here are some changes you can make to green your personal care throughout your day, from your morning routine, ’til you’re ready to hit the sack at night.

I’d love to see you over at Simple Organic today, head over there to read more…
