Magnolia Organics Review

Thank you for supporting this site with purchases made through links in this post.

Ready to remove toxic cleaners from your home? Find out how!

Did you know we spend about a third of our lifetime in our beds? Some of us probably wish it was more!

Because of the quantity of time that we spend sleeping, it’s really important to think about the quality of the environment that we are sleeping in, and on.

While organic mattresses can be a long stretch many people who want to create a safer and greener bedroom, we can at least cover our beds with natural and organic materials.

I came across the company Magnolia Organics and fell in love with their company and their products. Organic cotton sheets, bedding, and other organic cotton products from a company that focuses on fair labor and sustainability.  And the best part?  Their products are affordable too.

So, when Magnolia Organics offered to send me a set of sheets to review, I accepted happily, of course.  And when I received the sheets and started using them, I was even more excited.

First of all, the sheets came wrapped in an outer plastic bag that is biodegradable and compostable. I threw it in my compost pile right away to see if it would actually work. (I checked on it yesterday and it’s definitely still there, but it does look like it’s starting to break down.)

Then, the inner packaging was actually an organic cotton tote. How smart is that?  Packaging that is actually functional and reusable.  The tote has become my laptop bag for when I go out to coffee shops to work and write. I love that is is so simple and natural.

And, of course, the sheets.  They are wonderful! We received the Dream Collection sheets and they have a slight checkered pattern on them that I really like because it gives them some visual interest and they are so soft and just wonderful to sleep on.

When we went on vacation a few weeks ago, we took our sheets with us to use at our cottage because we love them so much, and when we got home, we had to wash them of course, before we put them back on our bed.  So, we used our old sheets for a few days before I got the sheets washed and back on the bed, and honestly, it was such a difference when we put our organic sheets back on.

Now granted our old sheets are old, like we got them for our wedding almost 8 years ago.  (How often are you supposed to replace your sheets?  I don’t know, but we’re cheap and nothing was wrong with our sheets, so we just kept using them.)  But now I know we need to invest in another set of sheets from Magnolia Organics!

So head over to Magnolia Organics and check out all their great products!  You can also “like” Magnolia Organics on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.  Besides another sheet set for our bed, next on my list is organic mattress covers and sheets for my kiddos beds!

When I read your latest post this morning I decided to check out Magnolia Organics for myself as I am always interested in affordable organic products for our home. I loved what I saw, but was dismayed to see so many of their twin products (for our son) were out of stock. I tried to contact them using the contact form but it never would go through, for some reason (I filled out all required fields).

I would love to order some sheets from them but don’t know how to, at this point, since I don’t know how long it will take for their twin products to get back in stock nor does it seem possible for me to contact them! Might be a few kinks the company needs to work out there. I do love the look of their sheets though, as well as the affordability!

Thanks for a great post. 🙂

      Hi Jana,

Thanks for your comment. I’m so glad you liked the products. I do know that Magnolia Organics is located on the East Coast and the town they are based out of has no power after the hurricane. I would give them a few days (maybe more) to recover from the storm and then try again. You could also try to connect with them on their facebook page. I hope you can get in touch with them and be able to order the sheets you would like, because they really are great!

        Hi Emily,

My goodness I had no idea they were located on the East Coast, but I might have guessed… 🙁 Of course this must be from the storm. Sorry I jumped to conclusions! We’re on the West Coast so I didn’t even think of that, but I certainly should have.

There’s no rush for me to order sheets; I can certainly wait until they’re back up and running! Thanks for your quick response though. I do love their products and will definitely try to order from them sometime in the near future.

        Thanks again!
