Green Leaf Living: Review and Giveaway

Today I have a great review and giveaway for you from our August sponsor, Green Leaf Living.

Fallon of Green Leaf Living generously sent me one of  her solid lotion bars and lip balms to try for myself, and they are great!

I had never used a lotion bar before, even though I’ve seen them all over other green living blogs, and I must say that I am hooked. Green Leaf Living’s lotion bars come in a cute little tin for easy storage and transporting. It is the perfect size to take with you in your purse, without having to worry about a bottle leaking and getting all over the stuff in your bad (which recently happened to me with a tube of lotion I kept in my purse).

The lotion bar is super moisturizing, and I can’t wait to use it this winter when my hands normally get so dry. It also smells great, and you can choose from lotion bars made with phthalate -free fragrance oil, or only essential oils, depending on your preference.

The lip balm is also wonderful. It glides on smoothly, isn’t sticky, and leaves my lips with a nice subtle sheen; it tastes great too. And I don’t have to cringe when one of my kiddos wants to use it and ends up smearing it all over their face – I know it’s good for them on their lips or on their skin!

I took both my lotion bar and lip balm on our vacation last week and I was really happy with how well they traveled. I was a little worried that because they have coconut oil in them that they might melt or at least get really soft, but they didn’t at all. The lotion bar was especially great, again because I didn’t have to worry about the bottle breaking or leaking.

I also really want to try Green Leaf Living’s cotton sandwich and snack bags, and I just noticed that she added shaving soap to their store, which my husband uses for shaving, so I’ll be checking that out once he runs out of his current soap.

Overall I am very impressed with Green Leaf Living‘s products, and I’m excited to be able to share them with you too!
