Ready to remove toxic cleaners from your home? Find out how!

Green in 365 series

This is Day 118 of the Green in 365 series!

We’ve been talking this month about choosing safer and more natural personal care products, and one of the best ways to ensure that you’re using safe products is to find a company that makes their own products using only all natural ingredients, and discloses all of their ingredients on their website and packaging.

I recently came across the compnay Third Day Naturals, and I was so impressed with the quality of their products, and their simple and natural ingredient lists.

Third Day Naturals Giveaway!

Third Day Naturals offers everything from handmade soaps, to hard lotion bars, sugar scrubs and even Healthy Jelly, a natural alternative to petroleum based skin jelly.

My family has had the pleasure of trying some of their products, and we think they are wonderful! My daughter struggles with really dry skin on her hands during the winter because of washing her hands and using hand sanitizer at school every day. Normally she doesn’t like to use lotion, even though her skin is so dry.

We started using the sugar scrub a few times a week, followed by the lotion bar during the day, and then putting on the Healthy Jelly at nighttime before bed, and her skin improved right away and has continued to stay soft and smooth with regular use of the lotion bar and healthy jelly!

One night, my kids and I gave ourselves a little spa treatment, using the sugar scrub on our feet in the bath and then rubbing in the Healthy Jelly before bed. My kids loved it, we had a fun time doing it together, and I know I’ll be using that treatment often as the weather continues to warm up and sandal season is approaching, to keep my feet looking nice and soft, and not rough and calloused!

My husband has been on a kick of using handmade soaps in the shower recently, but he was having trouble finding a soap that wasn’t somewhat irritating to some of his skin. The Third Day Naturals soap bars provide lots of great lather, have a wonderful, but not overwhelming scent, and are not irritating in any way.

I started using their head to toe bar as a shampoo bar, along with an apple cider vinegar rinse, and I love the way that the bar lathers in the shower, and makes my hair clean and smooth and soft. Basically we love all of the products we have tried!

And Third Day Naturals is giving away a set of some of their best products to one Live Renewed reader!

The winner will receive a package valued at almost $29.00!

  • 2 Bars of Soap
  • 1 Sugar Scrub
  • 1 Pocket Lotion Bar
  • 2 Lip Balms
  • Scents and flavors are the winner’s choice!

My favorite way to add EOs is adding lavender to baking soda and epsom salts and soaking in the hot tub and adding peppermint to baking soda to clean with. Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m not using essential oils, but I have heard a lot about them and would like to start incorporating them at home. In particular, I would like to start by adding them to the cleaning products I make at home now.

I’ve had issues with dry hamds most of my life and when I was younger I didn’t like using lotion. I have no idea why I didn’t like lotion, but now I’m over that. I do tend to forget lotion, though, so dry hands are still an issue. This method sounds fascinating to me. I might just have to try that!

All of their products sound great! I need to get a shampoo/conditioner that’s more natural, that’s the one personal care area I have trouble finding a good replacement for.

As a family, we are changing our diet to cleaner, more organic & less processed. Trying to rid my home of chemicals as my DD has some issues.
