About Emily
Around seven years ago, when I was pregnant with my first child, I embarked on a journey toward more green and natural living. At the time, I had no idea the path these small changes I was making in my life would lead me down.
Over the years, our family has made small but meaningful changes to go green around our home and live a more natural lifestyle, and today our lives look very different than we ever would have thought or expected! We believe that small changes and simple steps that you take toward green and natural living can add up over time to create big overall lifestyle change!
We’ve added two more babies to our family since then, and now have a full and crazy life with our three littles. I am a work-at-home mama, juggling writing online with managing my home and family, and while it can sometimes be a little stressful, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I’m also a passionate follower of Jesus. He is the reason that I started on this journey in the first place, and he is leading me to places that I never thought I would go. I believe Him when he says that the greatest commandments are to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and Love your neighbor as yourself – and I’m learning every day what that looks like in my life. I also believe that He has called each of us to be a good steward of all of the resources he has provided us with, including the valuable resources on this earth, and that caring for creation is one way we can also love our neighbors.
I love to share about my journey here on Live Renewed – about green and natural living, parenting and family, thoughts on faith and what it means to follow Christ, and simple and intentional living, all with the hope that through my life and choices I can bring glory to God and impact the world for Him.
